Eugene E. Donovan
October 4, 1930 ~ April 25, 2012


Eugene E. Donovan, 81, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Cushing, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ron Weathers officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eugene was born on October 4, 1930 to J.J. and Hazel [Dunivan] Donovan in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Stillwater High School in the late 1940's. He married Oleta Madison in Stillwater on August 2, 1952.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.J. and Hazel Donovan; brother, Jim Donovan; and sister, Lorraine Akin.

He is survived by his wife, Oleta (Bill) Donovan; son, Joe Donovan, and wife, Joy; daughter, Myrna Click; three grandchildren, Carrie Cooper, and husband, Nick, Nathan Click, and Adam Donovan; two great-grandchildren, Jadeyn Golay and Donovan James Cooper; two sisters, Pat Benes, and husband, Edward, and Phyllis Brown, and husband, Joe; sister-in-law, Sharon Petersen, and husband, Bryan; brother-in-law, Don Madison, and wife, Joann; brother-in law, Cecil Henrick; and several nieces and nephews.
