Bert Eugene Crane
February 25, 1929 ~ March 24, 2009


Funeral services for Bert Eugene Crane, 80, of Stillwater, are scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater, with Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.

Mr. Crane was born on Feb. 25, 1929, in Cushing, to Ormer C. and May Dee [Bennett] Crane.

After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force, gaining the rank of Airman, 1st Class. He served in England.

He returned to Cushing where he met and married Beverly Malone. To this union were born two children, son, Bert Eugene Crane II and daughter, Beverly Dawn Crane. The two later divorced.

He married Vivian Tipton Crane in Miami on May 3, 1984. In 1990, he retired from Gold Spot Dairy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Armorlee Baehler; one brother, Lee Roy Crane; and one great grandson, Kanin. He leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Vivian; two sons, Bert Crane and his wife, Mary, and Rex Tipton; two daughters, Dawn Jardot and husband, Jeff and Sheryl Johnson and husband, Bill; three sisters, Connie Stone and husband, Frank, of Sapulpa, Shirley Gaches and husband, Archie, of Cushing and Jeannie Gwinn of Cushing; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and children.

Casket bearers will be his six grandsons, Colter Johnson, Kevin Jardot, Tyler Jardot, BJ Crane, John Crane and Corey Crane. Honorary casket bearers will be Frank Stone, Archie Gaches and Rex Tipton.
