Faye Elizabeth [Lynn] Churchill
September 10, 1900 ~ September 1, 2002


Faye Elizabeth Churchill, 101, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Stillwater.


Services, with Pastor Wayne Sanmann presiding, will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.


Strode Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.


She was born in McKinley Sept. 10, 1900, to William Alvin and Clara Josephine [Mangold] Lynn.


She married Menzo Jay Churchill Oct. 5, 1916, in Guthrie. He died Oct. 9, 1980.


She grew up in McKinley and moved to Stillwater where she attended school. Her family later moved to Guthrie.


In 1952, the family moved to Stillwater where she worked in a housekeeping department at Oklahoma State University. She later worked at a laundry mat on 17th and Perkins Road.


She lived in or near Perkins or Stillwater all her life. She loved to garden and enjoyed cooking.


She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Clinton Jay; an infant daughter, Lillie Gwendolen; three brothers, one sister, two sons-in-law and one grandson.


She is survived by three daughters, Allie [Bounds] Griffin of Madera, Calif, Donna Lou Graham and her husband Gene of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Violet Churchill of Tulsa; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 17 
great-great-grandchildren.


Honorary pallbearers will be Menzo Bounds, Gary Bounds, David Bounds, Ron Churchill, Steve Churchill and Regan Graham.
