Frank Stanley Chaffin
January 4, 1922 ~ January 22, 2010


Frank S. Chaffin, 88, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 26, 2010 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Pastor John Dickey will be officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on January 4, 1922 in Liberal, Kansas. He attended Oklahoma A&M College. He was an engineer for GE Magnovox, as well as a machining inspector of Mercury Marine. He married Margaret Maxine Miller Chaffin in San Diego, CA., June 10, 1945, for sixty-four and a half wonderful years.

He is preceded in death by son, Stanley Chaffin, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; son, Franklin Eugene Chaffin and wife, Pam, of Simpsonville, SC; son, Bill George Chaffin and wife, Patricia, of Raytown, MO; daughter, Janine Cheryl Chaffin Stewart and husband, Ron, of Piedmont, Okla.; son, John Craig Chaffin and wife, Laura, of Stillwater, Okla.; sister, Ida Bess Chaffin le Fevre, of Benton, Ar., brother, Emery Chaffin and wife, Miriam, of Liberal, KS., sister, Paula Ann Chaffin Tournade of Liberal, KS.; twenty grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
