Antonio Camara, 47, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. John's Parish Hall with Stuart Crevcoure officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on October 13, 1962 in Libson, Portugal to Joao Pereira de Sousa da Camara and Maria Teresa da Cunha Guimaraes de Sousa da Camara. He married Ana Camara on January 16, 1988 in Alpedrinha, Portugal.

He attended the Catholic University of Portugal, where he received his first bachelor's degree; Insituto Superior de Economia e Gestao in Portugal, where he received his MBA/MsC; and Lancaster University in England, where he received his PhD. He later became a Professor of Finance at Oklahoma State University.

He is survived by his parents, Joao and Teresa Camara, of Portugal; his wife, Ana Camara, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; son, Antonio Camara, 10, and daughter, Isabel Camara, 7, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother, Fransisco Camara; and sisters, Isabel Camara and Teresa Camara.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Jacob, Russell Simkins, Walt Simkins, Kim Hale, Fransisco Camara, and Craig Meier.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Stillwater Cancer Center, 600 S. Adams, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074.
