July 15, 1923 ~ December 18, 2006


Rebecca Meda Burri, 83, passed away on Monday, Dexcember 18, 2006 in Stillwater, Okla. Graveside services were held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 10 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater, Okla with Pastor Larry Eslinger officiating. The Family entrusted Strode Funeral Home with all the arrangements.

Rebecca was born on July 15, 1923 in Las Animas, Colo to Willis E. Gwinn and Lillian R. [Chambers] Gwinn.

She married Chester Roy Burri on May 28, 1954 in Downey, Calif. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1991.

She worked as a housekeeper for the Holiday Inn and Oklahoma State University.

She loved cats and liked to travel. She was known as the "Coffee Lady" at Mehan Union Church where she was a member. She was also a member of the Stillwater Senior Citizens.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Laura Barclay.

She is survived by one son, Sam Burri and his wife, Sheryl of Stillwater Okla; one grandchild, Stacy Burri of Stillwater, Okla; and one brother, Bill Gwinn and his wife, Liz of Marrero, La. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
