Jerry Lee Bowman
July 26, 1940 ~ September 16, 2009

Jerry Lee Bowman, 69 years old, went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2009. Services were held Monday Sept 21, at 10: 30 am at Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

He was born July 26, 1940 in Cyril, Ok to Henry and Lorene Bowman.

He married Glenda Sue Fagg on January 4th, 1970 in Tahlequah and moved to Stillwater and had 4 children. They shared their life together there until Glenda's passing in February of 1986.

He married Donna Cabe on August 20, 1993. They resided in Stillwater, Ok where they actively served the Lord together encouraging their children and grandchildren to live for Christ.

He retired from OSU in 2005 after over 35 years of service in the Entomology Dept. He was an avid deer hunter. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and wisdom with everyone. Remembering names was very important to him so that when he spoke to people they knew he cared who they were.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, stepfather and sister Johnnie Ann Cole.

He is survived by his wife Donna Bowman, sons, Jasper Cabe; Jerry Glenn and wife Cindy Bowman; daughters, Halona and husband Jeff Clawson; Jerrica Bowman; son, Joe and wife Teresa Bowman and daughter Janessa Bowman. He had 10 grandchildren: Charles, Jazmyn, Cade, Noah, Jade, Liam, Hannah, Hunter, Jacob and Jarrett. He is also survived by stepmother Margie Bowman and brothers Tom and wife Patsy Bowman and Bill and wife Lil Bowman.
