George Charles Bloom
May 28, 1923 ~ March 4, 2012


George Charles Bloom, 88, died on March 4, 2012 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. His funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Seth Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 28, 1923 to Clyde Earnest Bloom and Sarah Bloom in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

He attended school in Sandy, Utah and Stillwater, Oklahoma. He married Leona F. Bloom in Cushing, Oklahoma on April 8, 1942. He worked for the City of Stillwater as an Assistant Line Supervisor. He retired after more than forty years to care for his wife of fifty-four years.

He is survived by his daughter, Annette Bloom and best friend, Judy Hasik; niece, Rose Hall and son; cousin from Texas, Kenneth Mayfield.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother, nieces and nephews.
