LaDell Frances Blair
October 16, 1930 ~ February 14, 2019


LaDell Blair passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was 88. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. A Celebration of LaDell’s life will be 10AM Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden.

LaDell was born…October 11, 1930 in Glencoe, Oklahoma to John Wilbur and Rilla Mae [Perkins] Hadley.

She spent her childhood in Glencoe where she graduated from Glencoe High School.

At the young age of 16, she met and married the love of her life, Tilford L. Blair on July 11, 1947 in Payne County.

LaDell worked many years as a secretary for Goldspot Dairy here in Stillwater until her retirement.

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church here in Stillwater where she very active in organization of church dinners.

She had several lady friends from the community that would meet at each other’s home a couple times a month to play Canasta, a favorite card game of hers. She also enjoyed going to the casino. Cooking was a great passion to her. Some of her signature dishes include Tabouli, oyster dressing, chicken and noodles, and her famous Christmas Candies that her family will cherish dearly.

Survivors include her two sons, Gary Blair and William “Bill” Blair both of Stillwater, Oklahoma; sister, Vivan Locklear of Burnet, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

]She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 plus years; sister, LaFaye Jacob; and two brothers, Glenn Hadley, and Pete Hadley.
