Bivert Rites Are Monday

A memorial service for Eula Don Bivert, 234 N Duncan, is scheduled Monday at 10:30 am in Strode Funeral Home chapel.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Casket will not be open at the services; however, friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Strode's. Mrs. Bivert died Saturday, January 21, 1989, i her home at the age of 84.

Persons wishing to make memorial contributions are directed to the Sheerar Museum or Judith Karman Hospice Agency.

She was born in Arcadia on October 23, 1904, the daughter of Charles Marion and Myrtle Mae [Dowell] Wadsworth.

She graduated from Arcadia High School and earned a teacher's certificate at Central State Teachers College in Edmond.

After two years of teaching in the Lindsay Public Schools system, she returned to Edmond to learn the photography business.

On October 23, 1927, she married Raymond E. Bivert in Stillwater, where they made their home for the past 61 years. As a career she owned and operated a photography studio where she specialized in children's portraits for 44 years. Mrs Bivert was well-known for her organ and piano music and recorded presentations in the community. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, American Association of Retired Persons, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Comtinuing Education and the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

She was predeceased by a sister; Hazelle Oden of Oklahoma City.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Mrs Frank [Vonda] Evans of Stillwater; three sisters, Doris Wadsworth, Bernice Danner and Marion Wadsworth, all of Oklahoma City; a brother, Dallas F. Wadsworth of Rock Port, Texas; and one granddaughter, Julie Evans Bradley of Tulsa.
