RIPLEY ~ Services for William "Red" Berry will be at 2 pm Tuesday, Sept 28, in the Strode Chapel with the Rec Lloyd Clinton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.-

Berry died Sunday, Sep 26, 1993, in the Stillwater Nursing Home at the age of 87. He was born in Norman March 10, 1906, to William Henry and Bessie [Morris] Berry.

He was the oldest boy of 16 children and attended school in Kansas. He moved to Ripley in 1928 and later moved to Cushing and married Beulah Beatrice McLaughlin June 17, 1934, in Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, two sisters and his wife, who dude in March 1983.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and was a Mason.

Berry is survived by one son, William S. "Bill" Berry and his wife, Billie, of Perry; one daughter, Allura Sue Ford and her husband, Jim, of Edmond; one brother; three sisters; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Eula Berry Memorial Set

Graveside services for former Stillwater resident Eula Frances Berry of Amarillo, Texas, are planned Tuesday, Oct 29, at 2 pm in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs Berry died Sunday, Oct 27, 1991, in St Anthony's Hospice Center in Amarillo at the age of 82.

Reavis Funeral Home is handling the local arrangements.

A memorial service is planned Friday, Nov 1, at 1 pm in the hospice center chapel in Amarillo. Persons wishing tomake memorial contributions are directed to the hospice.

She was born in Alva on Oct 3, 1909, the daughter of Jess and Mary Eliza [Jamison] Downard. She was married in Junction City, Kan, to Carl Leonard Berry on Dec 7, 1928.

Sher was living in Stillwater at the time of her husband's deth in 1964. She lived in Norman and Sacramento, Calif, before moving to Amarillo in 1973. She was a Christian and a housewife.

Survivors include one son, Carl M. Berry of Biloxi, Miss; a daughter, GayLynn Bearry og Amarillo; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs Berry is also survived by three brothers, Clayton W. Downard and Jesse L. Downard, both of Amarillo, and Edwin Downard of Grinnell, Kan' and two sisters, Gladys Young of Yakima, Wash, and Alice Wiser of Ceres, Calif.
