Geraldine "Jerry" [Fruin] Beltz Services Set

Geraldine E. Beltz, 73, died Sarurday, Oct 12, 1985, at her home at 1710 W Sunset Drive.

Services will be at 2 pm Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr James Struthers officiating. Interment, under the direction of the Strode Funeral Home, Will be in the Gethsemane Mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

"Jerry" as she was known, was born Dec 1, 1911 in Coyle, the daughter of the late Malcolm and Nona Fruin. She grew up in Coyle and completed her high school at Cottey Academy and graduated from Cottey College, Nevada, Mo. in 1931. She graduated as a music major from OSU in 1933 and did graduate work at the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago, Ill.

On June 6, 1943, she and Clarence L. Beltz were married. They have lived in Stillwater ever since. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a deaconess, past president if the United Presbyterian Women and a member of the chancel choir.

She was a member of Delta Mu Tau, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Pi Beta Phi sorority and was a past president of the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. She was also first president of Town & Gown Theatre, and appeared in 16 plays from 1951 to 1978. She was the chairman of the Aethritis Foundation in Payne County and served as vice president and member of the State Board of the Artiritis Foundation for 25 years.

She was past president of the Stillwater Women's Golf Association and past president of the Women's Association at the Stillwater Country Club. She was director of the St Cecilia Chorus for eight years and was a member of the Girl Sciut Council and a past president of the Potary Anns. She was also a member of chapter EP of the PEO.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence, two daughters, Mrs Jarol LeGate, Claremore, and Mrs Barbara Gulley, Oklahoma City, and one son, Jay M. Beltz, San Diego, Calif. A sister, Carlotta Furin, of Guthrie, and seven grandchildren also survive.

Contributions may be made to the Judith Karman Hospice, Inc of Stillwater.
