Helen [Miller] Bray
July 19, 1934 ~ July 27, 2017

Helen Miller-Bray the Fourth Child born for Willie and Ida Miller, was born July 19th 1934.

Mom accepted Christ very early in life. She grew up attending Sunday school and Church always in tow with her loving Mother, Siblings and Grandmother Ms. Connie Miller. Mom was born in Christ and passed this life to be with Jesus Christ and our Lord. She was a devout Christian and Loved the Lord until the Angels from Heaven came to receive her from this life on Earth.

I know in my Heart that she is with the Lord and those that were there waiting for her. What a Blessing it was to watch her and listen to her talk to the Lord as she transitioned from this life, what a Blessing to witness!

Mom attended Booker T. Washington Elementary and High School here in Cushing, Okla.

After High School she moved to Lawton Okla., to work and lived with her Beloved Aunt Coree Steele and her family to help provide for herself and Family.

Later in life she returned to Cushing to help her family provide Healthcare for her. During that time she attended Drumright Vo-Tech where she received Certifications for Health Provision.

She was employed with the Cushing Hospital for a short period of time. Unaware that the training she had received would prepare her for a lifelong opportunity to provide services outside the HealthCare system.

God Blessed her with the Love and compassion to care not only for her Parents, Siblings and Husband, but for so many people in the community as a Caregiver. She was well loved and respected for her giving and loving warm heart throughout the community.

On April 17th, 1972 Helen Miller and Tessie D. Bray became one, to this union two Beautiful and Loving Sons, Randy Bray and Samuel Bray became a loving family.

Mom loved and admired her Family and Friends and they loved and endeared her as well. She really enjoyed being with Friends and Family, no one loved their family, friends and the Lord more than she did.

The Lord works in Mysterious ways that most of the time we can’t understand or comprehend, that is why Mom always taught us as her children to worship, respect and love the Lord. She did as God ask us all to do, Profess his name and Faith in Life and he will honor and receive you.

On late afternoon Thursday July 27th, 2017 the book of life was closed and God saw fit to transition Mother from her labors and hard fought battle, to reward with the Ultimate Prize of Peace and Eternal Life.

Peacefully she departed this life to be United with those Loved ones who have preceded her in death, Father, Mother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Husband, Sisters, Brothers, Loving Son and Peace with her Lord as the would Endearing express.

Mother leaves to cherish her Warm and Loving memories; her Great Aunt Coree Steele [Lawton Ok], Sister Blanche Miller-Jackson [Billings Montana], Son Randy Bray [Randee, Nikolas, and Marissa Bray], Grandchildren Shamien Bray, Antonio Martin-Bray, Steven Bray, Eight Great-grandchildren. Special Group of Earthly Angels, Loving Nieces Sharon Thompson, Brenda Sue Davis, Pamela Smith-Hathorn: Becky Nance, Barbara Prather, Wanda Walker, Bridgette Walker, Tammy Cotton, Shirley Nesbitt. Host of other Special loving Friends and Relatives, Maxine Tucker, Laura Lou Pierson, Juanita Hayes, Marva Morris, Edna Maynard, Phyllis Westbrook, Sister Vickers and other Church members. Special Cousins, many beloved relatives and an extended family of Friends.

Services will be held August 2, 2017 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cushing Ok, at 1 P.M.

Interment will follow at the Silver Star Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.
