Lawrence Harvey Williams
March 5, 1930 ~ June 11, 2007


Lawrence Harvey Williams, retired mechanic, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 77 years.

The son of the late Chester Harvey Williams and Flora Kathryn Potter Williams, Lawrence was born on March 5, 1930 in Yale, OK and was reared and educated in the Yale community, graduating from Norfolk School in 1948.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Y. Baird on December 22, 1949 in Stillwater, OK and to this union five children, Lawrence "Larry" Williams, Jr., Jean, Tom, Dwight and Mark were born.

Lawrence had worked as a mechanic for several different auto dealerships, including Thomas Ford in Stillwater; Berry Chevrolet in Yale; Foresee Chevrolet and Logan Ford in Cushing prior to his retirement in 1991.

Lawrence was a member of the Advent Christian Church; he enjoyed wood working and spending time with his grand children and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of over 57 years, Ruth of the home; his children, Larry Williams and his wife Brenda of Hooker, OK, Jean Yvonne Williams of Ada, OK, Tom Lee Williams and his wife Jill, of Buffalo, MO, Dwight David Williams and his wife Myra of Tulsa, OK, and Mark Alan Williams and his wife Kelley of Cushing; four brothers, Jack Williams of Yale, Ronnie Williams of Grand Prairie, TX, Jerry Williams of Lawrence, KS and Richard Williams of Powell, WY; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Williams and Billy Williams; one sister Wanda Lee Williams and one great-grand-daughter Kandle Williams.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 2 P.M. in the Lawson Cemetery at Yale.

Serving as casket bearers and honorary casket bearers will be Larry Williams, Tom Williams, Dwight Williams, Mark Williams, Kyle Williams, Eric Williams, Kegan Williams and Danny Williams, Cory Williams, Noah Williams and William D. Bright, III.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.

Jackie L. "Jack" Williams
October 16, 1938 ~ May 1, 2018


Jackie "Jack" L. Williams, longtime Yale resident, passed away on May 1, 2018 in Stillwater at the age of 79 years.

The son of the late Chester Harvey Williams and Flora Katherine Potter Williams, Jack was born on October 16, 1938 in Yale; where he was also raised and educated.

Jack was united in marriage to Marilyn Keeney on October 2, 1972 in Yale. To this union two children, Stacie and Brian, were born. Marilyn preceded him in death on January 9, 2007.

Jack was a member of the Council Valley Advent Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, playing with his dogs and especially farming.

Survivors include his son, Brian Williams of Yale; three brothers, Richard Williams of Powell, Wyoming, Jerry Williams of Lawrence, Kansas and Ronny Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by infant daughter, Stacie Lynn; one sister, Wanda Williams and three brothers, Bill Williams, Lawrence Williams and Franklin Dean Williams.

Memorial services will be held at a later time.

Marilyn Sue [Kenney] Williams
July 22, 1942 ~ January 9, 2007


Marilyn Sue Williams, retired waitress, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 64 years.

The daughter of the late Ben Kenney and Wilma Troth Kenney, Marilyn was born on July 22, 1942 in Yale, and was reared and educated in Yale, graduating from Yale High School in 1960.

She was united in marriage to Jack Williams on Oct. 2, 1975 in Yale.

Marilyn was a member of the Advent Christian Church; she enjoyed playing bingo and had worked at various restaurants in the Yale and Cushing area.

She is survived by her husband Jack of the home; one son Brian Williams of the home; one nephew; three nieces and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Stacie L. Williams and one brother Elwin Kenney.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 1:30 P.M. in the Advent Christian Church with Steve Tiger officiating.

Burial will be in the Lawson Cemetery at Yale.

Stroud resident Charles Anthony "Chuck" Williams, 58, died Monday, February 25, 2008.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today, 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until Service Friday.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Chapel {504 N. 8th Ave. Highway 99} with the Rev. Robinsen officiating.

Burial will be at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma.

Arrangements under the direction of Parks Brothers Chapel, Stroud.
