Georgia Lee [Young] Moore
December 19, 1940 ~ August 14, 2022

Georgia Lee [Young] Moore passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Ponca City. She was 81.

A Mass will be held for her on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 S 8th St, Ponca City, OK 74601. Arrangements under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Georgia was born on December 19, 1940, to William Ambers and Dovey [Hicks] Young in Covington, OK. She was a waitress for most of her life and had a huge heart. She was very humble and had a passion for serving others. When she wasn't working, she had many hobbies with her husband, Claud. They loved camping and fishing, and even made fishing reels with Zebco for a short time. She never missed a flea market on the weekends and she and Claud were regulars at Golden Corral. She had quite the sweet tooth for cakes, chocolate, or anything with a little sugar added to it; perhaps that was why she was so sweet herself. She and Claud also had a spoiled dog named Snapper, whom went everywhere with them.

Georgia is survived by her daughter Debra Petty and husband Joe of Ponca City, OK, son Robert Gombas and wife Krista of Cave Creek, AZ, and son Philip Moore and wife Marsha of Bixby, OK. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and another on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Claud Moore, daughter Janet K. Scott, her parents William and Dovey Young, her 8 siblings Mildred, Allan, Dorthy, Andrew, Charles, Bobby, Mary, and Ronald, and one great grandchild Manton Jacob.
