Delbert Daryl Hallman, 87, passed from this life on July 5, 2018 In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He will be available for viewing at Strode Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday, July 9th and 10th, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma, with Mr. Milo Davis officiating.

Daryl was born on May 20, 1931 in Quay Oklahoma to Delbert and Juanita Hallman. He married Norma Troxel, and he graduated from Stillwater High School, and got his Bachelor’s in Geography and his Master’s in Industrial Education from Oklahoma A&M. He was a farmer and a teacher, and also attended the First Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Rae Hallman; father, Delbert Hallman; mother, Juanita Hallman; brother, Jerry Hallman.

He is survived by his son, Norman Hallman (Tim) wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Eric and Carly Hallman; brother-in-law, Larry Troxel wife Dolores; sister-in-law, Janet Davis and husband Milo; several nieces and nephews.

Norma Rae Hallman
May 29, 1930 ~ July 1, 2012


Norma Rae Hallman, 82, died on Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma. The Reverend Bobby Roe will officiate the service. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Norma was born on May 29, 1930 in Quay, Oklahoma to Charles Raymond and Gene [Allen] Troxel. She married Daryl Hallman on September 26, 1959 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She graduated from Central State College in Edmond with a B.S. in Education, and earned her Master’s Degree as a certified reading specialist from Oklahoma State University.

Norma taught at Perkins Elementary for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and part of the Cimarron Valley Home Demonstration.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Daryl Hallman, of Stillwater, OK; son, Norman Daryl Hallman, and wife, Elizabeth, of Laredo, TX; grandchildren, Eric and Carly Hallman, of Laredo, TX; brother, Larry G. Troxel, Sr., and his wife, Dolores, of Charleston, SC; and sister, Janet Davis, and husband, Milo, of Owasso, OK.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Mercy Hospice 4401 W. Memorial Rd., Ste 143, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
