George Robert "Bob" Doll
February 18, 1920 ~ September 13, 2004


Bob Doll, 75, of Yale, died Monday, September 13, 2004 at his home with his family by his side.

Services were 2:00 pm, Friday, September 17, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Yale, with Bro. Mich Dershem and Rev. Steve Lopp officiating. Music will be performed by Prince Hixson and Dick Ivey.

Burial followed in Lawson Cemetery, north of Yale. Services are under the direction of Yale-Palmer and Marler Funeral Chapel.

He was born on February 18, 1929. Northeast of Yale to Paul and Lucy [Jones] Doll.

He graduated from Yale High School. He was captain of the Yale High School Football Team. He attended Oklahoma A&M for one semester.

He was a Korean War Veteran, US Army Inf. Res., stationed at Fort Ord, California He married Mary Tull, February 12, 1951 in Huntsville, Arkansas. they spent the last 53 years living in Yale, where they raised cattle. He and Mary owned the Diary Hut in Yale. Many customers would check to make sure Bob was at the grill before ordering hamburgers. He was an avid domino player.

He worked for Kerr McGee and Foster & Assoc. Petro-Chemical Engineering of Houston, Texas both domestic and foreign before retiring to the farm full-time.

He was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, Norman Doll.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, George R. Doll, Jr and Gary and Sherri Doll, both of Yale; three grandsons, Robert, Dustin and David Doll, all of Yale; two sisters, Nancy Maxine Antell of Oklahoma City and Dorothy Byrd of Chickasha; two-sisters-in-law, Pauline Doll of Yale and Janie and Terry Duren of Bristow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Martin, Bob Brown, Richard Adsit, Charlie Noble, Norbert Doll and Orville Doll. Honorary pallbears will be Bill Adsit, Don Wingo, Wayne Doll and Oliver Kinzie.

Gerald Don "Jerry" Doll
August 19, 1934 ~ October 22, 2020


Gerald Don Doll of Yale, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 19, 1934 to Earl and Lela [Clemons] Doll. Gerald grew up in Quay, Oklahoma graduating in 1953.

He was in the Army at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX and later in Germany doing radar. After an honorable discharge he moved back to Yale, Oklahoma where he married Barbara Crowley. They raised their two children there, Sherry Lynn and William Gerald.

Gerald worked in industrial x-raying at several places and afterwards worked at National Tank in Tulsa, OK until they closed. He also worked with his nephew building fence. Gerald married Kathryn Strader on October 14, 2004 and would enjoy 16 years together. They spent time camping, traveling, and playing Bunco with their friends.

Gerald is survived by his wife Kathryn of the home; sister Earline Lewis of Yukon, OK; sister in law, Liquita Doll of Yale; daughter, Sherry and husband Rick Hart, and son, William and family all of Yale, OK; step daughter Gayla and husband Jimmy Brown of Tulsa, step son Rusty Strader of Yale; granddaughter Rachel and JR Bray of Shamrock, OK; Rebecca Cloud of Mannford, OK; step grandchildren, Stacy, Lewis, and Robyn Johnson of Tulsa, Jennifer Myers of Moore, Deonna Sullivan of Yale, Byrum Strader of Perry; 14 great grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene Doll, and sister Charlene McDonald.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday October 29, 2020 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Lawson Cemetery Pavilion, Yale, Oklahoma.

Gary Wayne Doll
March 24, 1959 ~ July 28, 2019


Gary Wayne Doll was born on March 24, 1959 in Pawnee Ok. to George Robert “Bob” Doll Sr. and Mary Francis [Tull] Doll.

He grew up in Yale and graduated from Yale High School in 1977 and studied Diesel Mechanics at Vo- tech. He began his career working for Cherokee Truck Lines during his senior year. During the next years, Gary worked for Great Plains Construction, Hinckles and McCoy, before opening their own trucking company, Gary Doll Trucking Company.

Gary met the love of his life, Sherri Begley and they were married on September 8, 1981 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They settled down in Yale next to his parents, raising cattle, trucking and raising their son David. He enjoyed coaching his sons little league football.

Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and son. He enjoyed tending to the farm, raising Hereford and Angus cattle and freedom of the outdoors. Gary passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at his home in Yale.

Survivors include his wife Sherri Doll of the home, son David Doll, his mother Mary Doll of Yale, brother George Doll Jr. of Yale, and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father George Robert "Bob" Doll Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK. Rev. Randell Newby will officiate.

Sherri Lynnette Doll
February 09, 1961 ~ September 20, 2020


Sherri Lynnette Doll passed from this life on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at home at the age of 59.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Lawson Cemetery with Pastor Mike Clark officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sherri was born on February 9, 1961 to Homer and Glenda [Bond] Begley in Cushing, OK. She grew up and attended school in Oilton, graduating from Oilton High School in 1979. Sherri met the love of her life, Gary Doll, and married him on September 8, 1981 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and had one loving child, David. Sherri loved being a mother and wife. She helped Gary with the farm and books for Gary’s Trucking Company. Sherri was a loving mother, never missing any school or sporting events. In her free time, Sherri loved to decorate cakes and was a member of the Yale Genealogy Club.

Sherri was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all.

Sherri is survived by her son, David Doll of the home; both parents, Homer and Glenda Begley of Jennings; two brothers, Jerry Begley and wife, Piper of Jennings, Gary Begley and wife, Chris of Oilton.

Sherri is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Doll.
