Stonewall "Stone" Carnahan
February 7, 1883 ~ March 28, 1899

Died: On Saturday night, March 25th, Stone Carnahan, the 17 year old son of Mr & Mrs S. Carnahan, who have a ranch in the creek country, east of here.

Stone had been sick at the Cushing Hotel for over five weeks with spinal meningitis, and notwithstanding the loving care and devoted attentions of his parents who were constantly at his side ministering to his wants, the young sufferer was at last compelled to give up the struggle for life and health and seek relief in "That mysterious realm from whose journey no traveler returns."

Stone had many friends here both young and old who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family over the loss of their son and brother.

The funeral service was held at the M. E. Church by Rev Austin after which the remains were taken to the cemetery 4 miles south east of here followed by numbers of the friends of the deceased and his parents.
