© Stillwater News Press Stillwater, Oklahoma February 1, 2012 July 6, 1952 ~ January 30, 2012 Donald A. Butler, retired print press operator, passed away early Monday morning, January 30, 2012 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 59 years. The son of Ben Butler and Marjorie Macom Butler, Donald was born on July 6, 1952 in Checotah, Okla., and was raised and educated in the Carney, Tryon area. Donald served in the United States Marine Corps. He was married to Lee Ann Donaldson on May 2, 1996. Donald enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Butler, of the home; his children, Todd Kirk of Illinois, Justin Butler of Stillwater and Cory Kirk of Los Angeles, Calif; his grandchildren, Jensen Kirk of Alton, Ill., and Paul, Bo and Abby Butler of Stillwater; his brothers and sisters include, Margie and Steve Anderson of Perkins, Cathy and George Day of Yale, Rick Butler of Stillwater, Joanie and Mark McVey of Perry, Carolyn and Will Savory of Wellston, Frankie Butler of Stillwater, Missie and Ron Tuley of Tryon, Belinda and Marty Fowler of Glencoe, Rusty Butler of Tryon and Becky Hale and Mark Downey of Perkins; his mother-in-law, Eileen Donaldson of Cushing; sisters-in-law, Julie Frank of Cushing, Kim and Toby Feltes of Bethalto, Illinois, Paula Morris of Stillwater and Jodi and Percy Bolen of Norman; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Marjorie Butler; brothers, a baby boy Butler, Benny Butler, Bill Butler, Charles "Chuck" Butler and Robin Butler; his father-in-law, Bob Donaldson and brother-in-law, Bo Donaldson. The family will greet friends in the Floyd Family center, east of the funeral home, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Perkins Church of Christ with the Reverend Arthur Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery with full military honors. |
