Melva Mae Shelton
November 7, 1917 ~ December 19, 2001


Melva Mae Shelton, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, in Coweta. Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel, in Tulsa with the Rev. Phil Taylor and the Rev. Charles Smith officiating.

Graveside services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Perkins under the direction of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Perkins and was a member of Carbondale Assembly of God. Shelton was predeceased by her husband, Issac Shelton, and her son, Robert I. Shelton.

Survivors include grandsons Gary Shelton, and Terry Shelton and his wife Teresa, all of Coweta; Ricky Shelton of Tulsa; a granddaughter, Vicki Kelly of Coweta and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Shelton of Coweta.
