Mydia Patricia "Pat" Harris
November 2, 1940 ~ March 4, 2019


Mydia Patricia "Pat" Harris passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Stillwater on Monday, March 4, 2019. She was 78.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. Family will greet guests from 6PM to 8PM. A Celebration of Pat’s life will be 1PM Friday, March 8, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Chapel with Pastor Rusty Rhodes officiating. Intermen will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Crawford, Nick Semtner, Jeff Moody, Ronnie Hill, Jonathan Kifer, and Daniel Summer.

Pat was born November 2, 1940 in Ada, Ok., to Cecil and Dovie [Owens] Leader. She graduated Ada High School in 1958.

She met and married Seth Thomas in 1957, and to that union five little girls were born. Then, on April 17, 1987 she married Jimmie Harris. They made their home in Stillwater where they resided at the time of her passing.

Pat enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was also proud of her Chickasaw heritage. She spent many years driving the bus carrying special needs children for Stillwater Public Schools. Those children were a great enjoyment to her. She loved seeing the kids every day and treated them like her own.

Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband Jimmie of 31 years; seven children, Debra Hankins [Terry] of Enid, OK., Donna Crites [Dennis] of Caney, OK., Darla Hankins-Jones of Stillwater, OK., Deanna Bozarth [James] of Stillwater, OK., Kim Powers [Sean] of Louisville, TX., and Jimmie Harris, Jr. of Oregon; one brother, Ricky Leader [Sue] of Agra, OK; seven grandchildren, Trish [Scott], Kattie, Shaina [Trevor], Cheyenne, Kallie, David, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren, Rylee, Gracie, Danni, Addie, Rilee, Josh, and Trinitie; and her best friend of 47 years, Ona Ely of Stillwater; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
