Phyllis Joanne [Burnett] Berray
April 6, 1944 ~ November 24, 2015


Phyllis Joanne Berray age 71 of North Richland Hill, TX. Passed away on November 24, 2015 at her residence.

Phyllis was born to Bob and Georgia Burnett on April 6, 1944 in Cushing, OK. She grew up in Globe, Arizona graduating from Miami High School. Phyllis married John K. Berray to this union J.D., James Rob and Denise were born. She moved to San Jose, California then to Austin, TX. She also lived overseas in France and England, returning back to Austin as well as Tulsa. She has been in the Dallas, Fort Worth area since 1992.

Phyllis was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and she had attended the Eden Chapel in Perkins. She was a Vitas Hospice Volunteer. She enjoyed reading books, cooking, traveling, music, nature, and was an animal lover.

Phyllis is survived by her husband John of the home, sons, J.D. Berray of Perkins, James Robert Berray of Cedar Hill, TX., daughter, Denise Berray of Arlington, TX., sisters. Laverne Lane of Stillwater, Bobbie Burnett of Perkins, grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin, Jaden and Jordain Berray.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters Verna Stephens, James Looney, and Frankie Britton.

Funeral Services - December 1, 2015 at the Lost Creek United Methodist Church in Stillwater, OK. with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
