Martha Drusella "Mattie" [Stockwell] Johnson
December 5, 1867 ~ March 28, 1942


Martha Drusella "Mattie" Stockwell was born 5 December 1867 in Bible Grove, Clay, Illinois, USA. She was 2nd of the ten children born to Michael William Stockwell (1836-1919) and Rachel Ruth [Hollowell] Stockwell (1847-1916). Siblings: Mary Adelle [Stockwell] Bowers (1866-1946), Samuel Edward Stockwell (1869-1923), Lydia Ellen [Stockwell] Johnson (1873-1945), George Addison Stockwell (1875-1957), Theron William Stockwell (1877-1890), Lenora Annis "Lola" [Stockwell] Bates (1879-1957), Lillie May Stockwell (1881-1883), Hattie Alice [Stockwell] Vollmer (1884-1962) and Flossie Phoebia [Stockwell] Sears (1886-1976).

She was married to James George Johnson (1862-1950) on 6 October 1889 in Winfield, Cowley, Kansas. Children: William Leroy Johnson (1890-1890), Earl Raymond Johnson (1891-1964), Hazel Ruth [Johnson] Raymond (1894-1980), Viola Flossie [Johnson] Gillock (1896-1983), Perry Silas Johnson (1899-1967), Mabel Malissa [Johnson] Williams? (1904-1967) and George G. Johnson (1907â•"1962).

In 1900 the family was living and farming in Eagle Township, Payne County, Oklahoma. The United States 1910 and 1920 Census Records show the family living in Rose, Payne, Oklahoma and the 1930 and 1940 Census Records shows James and Mattie living in Ponca City, Kay, Oklahoma. Mattie passed away 2 years later on 28 March 1942 in Ponca City, Kay, Oklahoma.

She was laid to rest in the Glencoe Cemetery in Glencoe, Payne, Oklahoma.

╨╨*Information of the parents of Martha; Michael and Rachel celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on September 24, 1915. They both were born in Jasper County, IL..

╨╨Seth Samms was two years old when mother died in 1838. He was taken in and raised by the Stockwell family. He later took the name Michael William Stockwell. Michael served 3 years and 4 months in the Civil War.

William Carl "Bill" Johnson
January 15, 1939 ~ May 11, 2020


William "Bill" Carl Johnson was born on January 15, 1939 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to Walter Johnson and Lucille McCracken Johnson.

Bill passed from this life on May 11, 2020 in Glencoe, Oklahoma having reached the age of 81 years.

He married Carol Kosensky on June 17, 1960 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Bill and Carol moved their family to Oklahoma in the summer of 1981.

Bill spent his life as a boilermaker. He enjoyed tinkering around with many old classic cars and a few old tractors.

Bill is survived by his children; Diana Williams and her husband Alan; Bill Johnson; Phyllis Kaiser and her husband Larry; John Johnson and his wife Lydia; Scott Johnson; James Johnson and Tricia; Chancy Johnson and his wife Amanda; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother Bob Johnson and a Sister Karen Whitaker.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Johnson and his parents, Walter and Lucille Johnson.

Services will be held graveside Thursday 10:00 A.M. May 14, 2020 with Rev. Jeff Kuhn officiating, burial will follow in the Glencoe South Cemetery.

Carol Ann Johnson
June 15, 1943 ~October 7, 2014


Carol Ann Johnson was born on June 15, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio to John Kosensky and Ann Senich Kosensky.

She passed from this life on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma having reached the age of 71 years, 3 months and 22 days.

She married William C. Johnson on June 17, 1960 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and they moved to Oklahoma from Ohio in the summer of 1981.

Carol was a homemaker, and is survived by her husband, William C. Johnson; her children, Diana Williams and her husband Alan; Phyllis Kaiser and her husband, Larry; Bill Johnson; Scott Johnson; John Johnson and his wife, Lydia; James Johnson; and Chance Johnson and his wife Amanda; twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ann Kosensky.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 at Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe, Oklahoma with Rev. Ralph Wangler officiating.

Memorials may be made to Poteet Funeral Home, P. O. Box 436, Pawnee, Oklahoma 74058 to assist in funeral expenses.

Caroline Rose "Carolina" Johnson

Caroline Rose Johnson, daughter of Tammye Dennis and Dexter Johnson passed away on Thursday, August 10th, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was 8 months and 21 days old.

Caroline is survived by her parents, Tammye Dennis and Dexter Johnson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; One brother, Dexter Johnson III and one sister, Lillian Johnson both of Stillwater; Grandparents John and Karen Dennis of Meeker, OK, Dexter and Carlene Johnson of Midwest City, OK, Debbie Dennis of Stillwater; Aunts and Uncles, Belinda and Pat Heisler of Yale, OK, Jamica Johnson and Tony Stigers of Oklahoma City, OK, Adrienne Deshazer of Tulsa, OK, Chanitha Johnson, John Johnson, Cory Johnson, Elijah Johnson and Trey Johnson all of Midwest City, OK, Numerous Cousins, other family members and their host of friends.

Service for Caroline will be held on Monday August 14th, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Mike Durshem will be officiating. Musical selections will include "Who Am I" by Karen Dennis and "Don't have to Worry" by Chanitha Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Johnson Jr., Pat Heisler, Ronnie Lawson and John Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will include Randall McElroy, James Tucker and Arie Brown.

Interment will follow at Glencoe Cemetery.

The family has entrusted Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home with the arrangements.
