Anita Lynne [Sawyer] Campbell
November 9, 1946 ~ November 4, 2019

Monday, November 4, 2019 , Lynne Sawyer Campbell, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 72, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Anita Lynne Sawyer was born November 9th, 1946 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the daughter of Orvil and Marguerite [Hile] Sawyer. She grew up in Glencoe, where she attended school and made life-long friendships. She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood in Glencoe, helping her parents in the grocery store, attending church and spending time with friends. Family gatherings were commonplace and favorite recipes were passed from generation to generation.

When Lynne was only two years old, her mother died after a battle with ovarian cancer. Lynne’s father, older brother Eddie, and grandparents helped take care of her. Orvil married Mary Francis Clark in 1953, giving Lynne a mother, a younger sister, Shirley, and another family to love in addition to her own.

Lynne had three daughters, Anita, Mona and Kimberly, and doted on them throughout their lives. Baking cookies and planning parties for classroom events, teaching Sunday School, hosting dinners and birthday parties, celebrating life’s milestones and leaving each daughter and their children with special memories.

During the 1970s Lynne and her family lived in Breckinridge, Texas and Hobbs, New Mexico before moving to Enid in 1981.

She married Dennis Campbell on March 18, 1994 and had 25 years of true happiness. Through this union she gained a step son, Troy Campbell and his wife Tabatha. She loved her Campbell family and spending time at “the farm” was her favorite pastime.

Lynne and Dennis enjoyed travelling, time spent with dear friends, a good game of darts and playing cribbage. The couple attended church at the Glencoe United Methodist Church, where Lynne grew up.

Lynne was well known throughout the Enid real estate community and had a 30-year career in real estate working as a loan processor. She worked for Nicholas Real Estate, Century 21 Homes Plus and finally Coldwell Banker where she spent 13 years until retiring in 2017. She spoke often and fondly of the many friends she made along the way. A breast cancer survivor, Lynne and her co-workers participated in the annual Relay for Life events for many years.

Preceding Lynne in death were her parents, sister Shirley, and her brother Orvil Edward "Eddie" Sawyer.

She is survived by her beloved husband of the home; daughter Anita and her husband Mark Luetkemeyer of Enid, daughter Mona and her husband Matt Perkins of Hutchinson, Kansas, daughter Kimberly Keeton and fiancé Warren Mills of Oklahoma City, and step-son Troy and his wife Tabatha Campbell of Bryan, Texas. Lynne was a proud grandmother to Russell Andrew, Arcie Bierig, Tavie Bierig, and Lexi [Loula] Reyes all of Enid, Maggie and Daniel Davidson, Thompson, Missouri, Nancy Campbell of Wataga, Illinois, Jonathan and his wife, Kadi Allameh, Kali and husband, Brian Shadowen, all of Stillwater, Hayden and his wife, Rhonda Campbell of Bryan, Texas and Connor Campbell also from Bryan. Lynne was blessed with one great-granddaughter, Lilli Shaw of Wataga, Illinois.

Two services held to celebrate Lynne’s life. One service in Enid, to honor her 38 years spent here, and one in her childhood hometown of Glencoe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Glencoe United Methodist Church, or Hospice Circle of Love.

Funeral service: Friday, November 8, 2019 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Another service was Friday in the Glencoe Methodist Church. Glencoe Oklahoma. The rev. Jeff Kuhn will officiate both services. Burial is in the South Glencoe Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
