Helen Maxine [Overdeer] Rice

Helen Maxine Rice went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2005 at the age of 87 years.

She was born on January 28, 1918 in Amarillo Texas to Jim and Matilda Overdeer.

Helen moved to Drumright as a small child and was raised there, graduating from Drumright High School.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church from the time she was a small child. She taught Jr. boys class in Sunday school for 20 years.

Helen was a LPN at Cushing Regional Hospital for over 30 years and a member of Pioneer Club. After retirement she was a very active member at the Cushing Senior Citizen Center and with the Cushing Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Matilda; husband Raymond; sister, Lois Combs and brother, James Overdeer.

She is survived by a sister Theda Smith; sister-in-law Fern Overdeer; her baby boys Loyd, Jim and Vernon; three daughters-in-law Marie Ann, Sandra and Sherry; ten grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Helen was a very loving mother and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all. We love and miss you.

Services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the First Assembly of God Church, Cushing.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
