Michael Kennedy McKnight

Michael Kennedy McKnight was born to William L. and Julia Kennedy McKnight, November 22, 1946 in the William Newton Hospital, Winfield, KS.

He attended grade school in Winfield, Kansas and graduated from the Bristow, Oklahoma High School in 1964.

After 1 year in college at NSU, Tahlequah, OK, he served four years in the US Navy, making three trips to Vietnam aboard the US Kitty Hawk. After his discharge he attended Oklahoma State Tech, Okmulgee, OK. from which he graduated in the early 1970’s.

He spent most of his working life in the printing and proof reading profession and he retired from the Bowne Corp. in 2006. He resided in Phoenix, AZ. for the past fifteen years of his life.

Michael died on August 23, 2008 in the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. from pulmonary embolism.

He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior in 1995, in Phoenix, AZ.

Michael leaves his father, William L. McKnight, a brother Bill McKnight and a sister Patricia Johnston and nephews and a niece plus many other family members and friends to mourn his loss.

He will be missed.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at 10 A.M. in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Cushing with Ralph Hickman officiating.
