Bertha Emily [Lee] Hickman
December 14, 1930 ~ August 19, 2007


Bertha E. Hickman, former Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2007 in Tuttle, OK at the age of 76 years.

The daughter of the late Joseph W. Lee and Glennie Harmon Lee, Bertha was born on December 14, 1930 in Chicopee, KS.

She was raised in the Chicopee and Pittsburgh area.

She was united in marriage to Eddie Jewel Hickman on April 11, 1951 in Bentonville, Arkansas. To this union seven children, Julie, Marilyn, Eddie, Byron, Penny, Ronnie and John, were born. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2004.

Bertha loved to spend time with her family, her family was her life. She also enjoyed crafts, sewing and listening to music.

Survivors include her children, Julie Flager of Ponca City, Marilyn Bradley of Stillwater, Eddie Hickman and his wife Rhonda of Tuttle, OK, Byron Hickman and his wife Dana of Weatherford, Penny Talbert and her husband Tom of Stroud, Ronnie Hickman of Drumright and John F. Hickman and his wife Buffy of Drumright; one brother Gerald and one sister Annabel; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Presley Ann Hickman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Danny Daniels officiating.

Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
