February 3, 1952 - March 3, 2020


Marvin A. Moorman passed away peacefully at his home in Stillwater on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was 68. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Coyle Christian Church in Coyle, Oklahoma with Mike Hanks officiating, and assisted by Ronnie Davis.

Pallbearers will be Justin Moorman, Nathan Moorman, Keith Moorman, Joshua Moorman, Riley Moorman, Xavier Amaro, Joaquin Amaro, and mike Moorman.

Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Stillwater.

He was born February 3, 1952 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Alvis & Audrie [Lamb] Moorman. He grew up in Coyle and graduated high school in 1970.

On June 1, 1973 he married Laura Ann in Coyle, Oklahoma. Together they shared 46 years of marriage and made their home southwest of Stillwater where they raised their children.

He enjoyed baseball, fishing, bird hunting, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife Laura Ann, of the home; three sons, Keith Wayne Moorman and wife Tara of War Acres, Oklahoma, Nathan Alan Moorman and wife Melinda of Morrison, Oklahoma, and Justin Vernon Moorman and wife Cagney of Guthrie, Oklahoma; one daughter, Amanda Gayle Moorman of Stillwater, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Joshua Moorman, Summer Moorman, Riley Moorman, Robin Moorman, Xavier Amaro, Joaquin Amaro, and Trey Summerlin; two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh & Luke Summerlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, Lois Carrier, Thelma Higgins, Garrell Moorman, Lloyd Moorman, Clarence Moorman, and Steve Moorman. Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.dightonmarler.com
