Eldon Orel Denny


Eldon Orel Denny, 73, passed away on March 3, 2015 in Payne County, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 6 at Glencoe Baptist Church, Glencoe. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Glencoe, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eldon was born March 2, 1942 on the family farm in Cleveland, Oklahoma to John Orel Denny and Jewel Leatha Smith. He attended school in Cleveland. After graduation, he worked construction and owned his own lawn care business. On June 14, 1963, he married Katherine Negelein in Pawnee, Oklahoma. They remained together until her death in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; parents, John and Jewel; one brother; and two sisters.

Eldon is survived by his four children Tony Denny (Fanny), Victor Denny (Tami), Eldonna Creager (Denny), and Grant Denny; seven grandchildren, Philip Morse (Melissa), Samantha Eagan (Rick), Emily Denny, Jacob Denny, Amanda Creager, William Denny, and Abagail Denny; six great-grandchildren, Ashley and Katy Morse, Kandra Lillian, Sierra Hall, and Terra Eagan; and great-great-granddaughter, Keali Madison Hall.
