Ronald E. "Ronnie" Wolf

wolf-r-e

August 26, 1947 ~ January 14, 2025

Services to celebrate and remember the life of Ronald E. "Ronnie" Wolf will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, OK. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5-7 with family there to receive visitors. Ronnie left his temporary earthly home for his permanent heavenly home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was 77.

Born in Broken Arrow, OK on August 26, 1947, to Orvel E. and Alta M. (Hardester) Wolf. Ronnie was raised and educated in the Jenks area and graduated from Jenks High School with the class of 1965. He continued his education at NSU in Tahlequah where he earned a Bachelor's degree in education. This accomplishment was something Ronnie was very proud of. He not only completed 4 years of college in 2 years and 9 months but became the first in his family to have a college education. His desire was to be a teacher and a coach. In June of 1966, in her parent's home, Ronnie married the love of his life, Linda Teter. Their union was gifted with 2 sons; Wade and Nick.

A man that answered to many different names, Dad, Ronnie, Coach, Uncle Ronnie, Papa, Great Papa, and Papa Ronnie, just to mention a few. But nothing was more important in his life than when he answered and received the gift of eternal life from his Lord and Savior. The number of young lives he has touched throughout his life as a teacher and coach are immeasurable. One thing that would be certain is he made sure they knew how special they were and by God's grace there was a purpose for their life. Ronnie had what his family said was a supernatural hunger for God's Word. He was faithful to be an active member of whatever church he was attending. He taught Sunday school and in later life became a mentor for older men. Being a true creature of habit, and after retirement, Ronnie would meet at the local coffee shop called Holy Grounds at the same time every day. It was there that his group of older men would meet and have bible study. Ronnie had the uncanny ability to memorize scripture, and the Book of John was his favorite. He had an infectious laugh and that will be part of the legacy he leaves behind for his family and friends. Another tool that Ronnie used to start a conversation about the Lord would be to find out the biblical meaning of a person's name and get it printed on a card that he would then take to them. He made sure to be an encouragement as well as letting them know he loved them, and that Jesus loved them. Once again, planting the seed and letting God do the rest.

A man that has lived his life following the instruction he found in the study of God's Word. Ronnie has left a legacy of Agape love that will continue to impact others for years to come. Ronnie is survived by his children, Wade Wolf and wife Stephanie, Nick Wolf and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Marissa Beck and husband David, Danielle Wolf, Dean Wolf, Anna Lee and husband Peter, Tim Wolf, and Marcus Wolf, great grandchildren, Rylee Beck, Izzy Beck, Emma Beck, Mason Sixkiller, Ella Jo Lee, Luna Wolf, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years Linda, brothers, Bub Wolf and Donald Wolf, sisters, Shirley Fuller and Pauline Stout.
