Dorothy Pauline Robinson Harrell

Dorthy Pauline Harrell passed from this life on January 16, 2026, at the age of 73 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dorthy was born on November 3, 1952, in Chandler, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Fray Afton Taber and Euna Faye (Hutchison) Robinson. Dorthy grew up and attended school in Mannford, Tulsa, and Catoosa. On February 23, 1970, Dorthy was united in marriage to Marvin Ray Hillsberry. They initially lived in Sand Springs until 1978, then moved to Olive. In 1982, Dorthy and Marvin moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. In 1985, Dorothy began working at Walmart, and in 1991, she completed her GED. Dorthy retired from Walmart after nearly 20 years in 2004. Following Marvin's death in 2005, Dorothy moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and began cleaning homes. In 2009, Dorthy was introduced to James Daniel Harrell. The two were later united in marriage on June 19, 2016, in Miami, Oklahoma, and now live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Being with family and friends was always Dorthy's favorite time. Playing pool was also one of her favorite things to do. Dorthy played in numerous tournaments in Oklahoma and Las Vegas. Singing karaoke and attending the Moose Lodge meetings were also on her list of activities.

Survivors include her husband Dan of the home, seven children Denise Hillsberry of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Chrystal Vreeland of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Raymond Hillsberry and his wife Jamie of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; James Harrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ken Harrell and wife April of Norman, Oklahoma, Jacob Daniel Harrell of Fort Worth, Texas, Jason Harrell and wife April of Owasso, Oklahoma; three sisters, Kay Edmondson, Freda Bunde, Esther Zaferis; four brothers, Bill Bean, Larry Bean, Kenny Taber, and Lester Taber; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Hillsberry, five brothers, and two sisters.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Hillsprings Church in Sand Springs, with Pastor Brent Kellogg officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
