Martha Katherine Hodson

hodson-m-k

May 21, 1937 ~ August 26, 2022

Martha "Kathy" Hodson was born on May 21, 1937, in Bellwood, Nebraska. She was the daughter of George and Minnie Romshek. Kathy preferred to go by her middle name Katherine and would often not respond if called Martha.

Kathy's favorite pass time was traveling around the United States visiting her family and friends. She would often spend a couple months out of a year with different family members catching up on all the news and growing children.

On April 22, 2001, Kathy married Glenn Hodson and the couple moved from Stockton, California to Mannford Oklahoma where they managed the Rolling Oaks Mobile Home Park.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Glenn on August 19, 2005. Kathy remained in Oklahoma where she began working as an assistant librarian at the Elementary School in Mannford. Kathy loved helping to enrich young minds through reading.

Kathy is preceded in death by her three brothers Charles, George, and Donald Romshek and her sister Doris Meier. She is also preceded in death by her two sons William "Fuzzy" Hampton (Edna Hampton) and Danny Hampton (Krystal Hampton) and one grandchild Evelyn Hampton. She is survived by her two daughters Donna Freire (Larry Freire), Diana Pollock (Richard Pollock) and her Godson Jeff Romshek. Kathy leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and dozens of loved nieces and nephews.
