Kenneth Martin Brandon

Kenneth Martin Brandon, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home in Perkins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 9:00am to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2:00pm at Silver City Free Will Baptist Church in Silver City, Oklahoma. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ken was born on December 19, 1935 in Hanna, Missouri to Mart and Ina (Guest) Brandon. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and attained the rank of Spec III and was honorably discharged in 1957. Ken married Judy Barrows in 1960. From this union five children were born. He later married Phyllis Jean Holder on January 7, 1982 in Oilton, Oklahoma and to this union he inherited a daughter.

Ken was a longtime resident of Carney, Oklahoma. Ken was an avid fisherman, hunter and storyteller. He moved to Perkins in 2013.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jesse Donovan.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Jean Brandon of the home, his children David Brandon of Perkins, Ok, Lisa Hall and Brent of Tryon, Ok, Lori Siliven and Kevin of Elkton, Il, Steven Brandon and Cheryl of Lincoln, Ne, Kathy Byerly of Perry, Ok. and Rhonda Poole and Dan of Oilton, Ok, his grandchildren Tiffany Grimes, Macy Carder, Daniel Siliven, Desiree Davies, Baylor Brandon, Adam Cochran, Jordan Poole, Gerad Poole and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Barbara Humble, Scott Brandon, Harlan Brandon, Jerry Brandon and Ray Brandon.
