October 4, 1957 ~ May 28, 2022

Donnie Gene Womack 64, passed away from this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Born on October 4, 1957 in Pawnee Oklahoma, Donnie is the son of Orville and Ruby (Davis) Womack. He was the youngest of three sons. On August 4, 1990 he married the love of his life Annette Pankhurst; they have been married 31 years, 8 months and 28 days.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Annette Womack of Pawnee OK, and two brothers; Max Womack and wife Sharon of Pawnee OK, and Jack Womack of Morrison OK. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Ruby Womack.

Donnie was raised in Pawnee and graduated from Pawnee High School and attended Meridian Votech as a Machinist. One of his first jobs was working for the Wayne Cook Pipe Yard, painting fences. Until one day Wayne needed a truck driver, and the rest is history – hauling pipe from Pawnee to Texas. When the pipe yard slowed down, he left to run his own business of D&W Equipment where he bought and sold tractors and equipment. His final venture and business opportunity came when he started purchasing and renovating real estate, which turned into managing his rental properties throughout Pawnee for the past 30 plus years.

Don never met a stranger; he would always greet you with a smile and a “hello”. He was raised on the streets of Pawnee and knew everyone, and was a loyal friend to all. Services will be held Monday June 6, 2022 at 10:00 am, with Ricky Edwards officiating at the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, Pawnee. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetary.
