Debra Lee Higgins Waters

On the 22nd of October in 1952, God blessed the world with a remarkable woman who persevered through life’s adversity with grace and an un-faltering faith. Born to Joe & Deloris Higgins in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Debra Lee Waters (Debbie) was raised in the small town of Blackburn with her two siblings on a family farm where she learned the value of hard work and family.

She was a devoted, loving wife and nurturing mother of 4 with an aptitude for keeping continuity in the family. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word and devoted her life to taking care of her family.

She greatly treasured her close relationship with the Lord and was a powerful prayer warrior and soldier for kingdom of God. She cherished her time with family and that a full house was a happy one.

As a co-owner of a successful business for over 10 years and a valued CSR for the Bank N.A. Debbie maintained a professional career while still making ample time for her family.

Debbie married Jack D Waters Jr,"Jackie" in November of 1969 and celebrated 52 years of blissful marriage. Debbie is survived by her husband Jackie Waters, her four children, Shawn Renee Reed, Loren Parker Waters, Jack Dell Waters III and Sharon Lee Curtis,one sister Peggy Witter and one brother Joey Higgins, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Joe Parker Jr. and Deloris Higgins.

Funeral services were held Friday 11:00 A.M. November 19, 2021 in the Pawnee First Assembly of God with Rev. Kirby Stevens officiating, burial will follow in the Highlands Cemetery.
