February 4, 1938 ~ May 3, 2022

Nancy Ellen Sallee was born February 4, 1938 on the family farm of Pawnee Oklahoma to William H Sallee and Edna Hope Sallee. She passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Tulsa, Ok.

She was the middle child of 13, which she was very proud of. She attended her first eight years of school at Olive Hill and Graduated from the Pawnee High School in 1956.

She helped raise her younger siblings as well as a great number of nieces, and nephews and their children. She worked as a caregiver for several ladies in Pawnee, at the Rex-all Drugstore, and at the Sonic.

Nancy was a member of the Liberty OHCE group for 22 years. You could find her helping at the County Fair as a volunteer. She entered numerous projects in the fair and won many awards for her baking. Through the years 4-H members had her guidance in sewing and canning.

For years the family meals were not complete without cake iced with real fudge. Nobody made the fudge better than Nancy. Family gatherings were not the same without her fudge being there.

Nancy is survived by two brothers Johnnie Sallee (and Sue) of Pawnee, Lyle Sallee (and Adeana) from Stillwater. Four sisters: Rosa Mae Garrison of Ponca City, Phyllis Heisler Pawnee, Carolyn Harrell (and Marvin) of Ralston, and Joyce Heisler of Pawnee. Along with many nieces, nephews, greats and great-greats. Preceded in death: father, William H Sallee, mother, Edna Hope Sallee, Brothers: William J., Leslie, Jimmie, Kenneth, and Joe and one sister Marjorie Engle.
