Timothy Allan Moroney

moroney-t-a

January 2, 1959 ~ October 17, 2020

Timothy Allan Moroney, 61, of Kingfisher Oklahoma, went home to be with him Lord on October 17, 2020 peacefully in his sleep.

Tim was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 2, 1959, where he lived until sixth grade when his family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, Tim went on to receive his Bachelor of Science from Central State University. While working part time at the state capital as a computer programmer, he met and married Kimberly S. (Akers) Meyerdirk on April 1, 1989. Taking over the daunting task of being a brand-new father to a couple of young boys that had lost their father in a car accident, he later became the father of a beautiful baby girl, Rachael. Tim and Kim were married 31 years.

Tim worked as a Computer Programmer at Pioneer Telephone Corporation for 30 years. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He enjoyed playing tennis, volunteering as Assistant Boy Scout Scoutmaster, and always helping with family or friend's projects, no matter the task. His passions were telling the same ole family stories and never cleaning up in time for dinner, but above all, being a good and faithful servant of his Lord Jesus. He was an avid teacher and mentor in Awana club at church and cared about everyone, no matter the circumstances.

Tim is survived by his wife Kim, and their three children: Matt Meyerdirk, Anthony Meyerdirk, and his wife Katie, Rachael (Spears) and her husband Gerrett and Tim's grandson, Benaiah; his sister, Susan Ryan, his niece Taylor Ryan and nephew Josh Ryan.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Kenneth Moroney and Sandra Jean (Burns) Moroney.

Graveside funeral service was held for immediate family at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Poteet Funeral Home.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday Oct. 22, 2020, at Covenant Community Church, at 2250 S. Yukon Pkwy, Yukon, OK 73099.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of Nazih Zuhdi Organ Transplant Institute, Integris Baptist Hospital for their wonderful efforts for providing health and care for transplant recipients and giving Tim an extra 5 years.
