Russell "Rusty" Eugene Dollarhide

Russell "(“Rusty”" Eugene Dollarhide was born on October 11, 1956 to Elsie Fern Dollarhide and Glenn Dollarhide. He entered into rest surrounded by family on January 18, 2018 in Morrison, Oklahoma after a battle with cancer.

Rusty grew up in Morrison, Oklahoma and attended Morrison High School. As a young adult he enjoyed the sport of team penning and was very accomplished. He owned a farm in Glencoe, Oklahoma where he enjoyed working the land, and raising cattle and horses. He later became a pipe fitter working and traveling throughout the United States where he met many wonderful friends that were like a family. He had a love for adventure.

He was a great and loyal friend to many wonderful people, a loving dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his three children: Traci Jo Guthrie and her husband Paul Guthrie of Houston, TX, and their children Gabriella and Giuliana; Christy Lewallen and her husband Caddo Lewallen of Morrison, OK, and their children Chanley and Callie; and Cody Dollarhide and his fiancé, Rena Vielma of Stillwater, OK; his two brothers: Jim Dollarihde, and Lee Dollarhide and his wife Wanda Dollarhide; nieces: Vicki Knecht and her husband Donnie of Emory, TX, LeAnn LaBron and her husband Tom of Morrison, OK, Lisa Moore and her husband CJ of Stillwater, OK, and his nephew Eddie Dollarhide and his wife Mandy of Morrison, OK; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Glenn and Fern Dollarhide.

Services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma with Pastor Troy Withey officiating, internment will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends can leave a memory for the family at Poteet Funeral Home
