Valerie Sue Crawford passed from this life on March 2, 2022, at the age of 42.

Valerie was born on September 15, 1979, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Agana Heights, Guam. Valerie grew up in the Pawnee and Stillwater area. Valerie attended Pawnee High School and Meridian VoTech where she obtained her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Valerie was united in marriage to Christopher Lee Anderson in Stillwater, Oklahoma on November 30, 2000. The couple established their home in Yale, Oklahoma where they raised their two sons Braiden and Layne. Valerie worked for the Pawnee Nation, Dr. Laird, and was currently working as a private nurse.

Valerie loved to sing, dance, and listen to country music. Driving the back roads and going to the river were also things she enjoyed. Valerie had a big heart and always had a smile on her face. Helping others was Valerie's life calling, as she cared for many people throughout her life. Valerie received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and always had faith.

Survivors are two sons Braiden Anderson of Carney, Oklahoma, Layne Anderson of Yale, Oklahoma, mother Susan Chapman of Stillwater, Oklahoma, father Joseph Piccolella, Jr. and wife Cathy of San Antonio, Texas; three siblings Joseph Piccolella III of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Anna Piccolella and Brian Esker of Newalla, Oklahoma, Brian Piccolella and his wife Gwen of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Valerie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Robert and Ginger Chapman, paternal grandparents Joseph Piccolella, Sr. and Maryann Piccolella, and Aunt Lisa Chapman who was like a mother to her.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the First Assembly of God Church in Pawnee with Pastor Andrew Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Poteet Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
