After graduation she moved to Odessa, TX to attend Odessa Business School. While attending school she met the love of her life and married Robert Delmar Copeland, Jr on December 17, 1966 in Mesa, AZ. Soon after marriage her husband was drafted in the Army and it was while he was stationed at Ft Hood that they welcomed their first son Robert Scott Copeland on May 9, 1969 in Temple, TX.

Her father decided to return back to Oklahoma where he was raised and the family relocated to Pawnee, OK where she spent the remainder of her years. It was during these years that she welcomed her second son Barry Wade Copeland on September 17th 1977. She was a loving mother that enjoyed watching her sons grow and attending their activities and events.
