Grover Caine Jr

September 4, 1944 a beautiful baby boy was born to Grover Sr. and Betty (Willis) Caine and they named him Grover Caine Jr.

Grover Jr. attend Pawnee Public Schools graduating from Pawnee High in 1962. Once he finished high school, he enlisted in the United States Army on January 15, 1964. While enlisted he was sent to Germany to serve. While serving he was awarded the Good conduct medal and the National Defense Service Medal and he was an Expert Shooter with Rifles”. After leaving the army he worked in fabrication for Crane Carrier until he retired. In 1967 he married Catherine Harris and in that union two children were born, Lucinna Marie Caine and LaDonna Louise Caine.

On October 10, 1987 he married Joyce McKnight. They divorced in 2003, but love wouldn’t keep them away from each other, so February 14, 2005 they remarried till this very day.

On August 19, 2020 @ 9:30 pm GOD picked the most precious flower that he saw that day and time, Mr. Grover Caine Jr.

Proceding him in death are his parents Grover Sr. and Betty Caine, sisters Lucinna Caine and Norma Caine, nephew Derel Green, brother-in-law R.D. Green, and great grandson Chadd David Collins.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Joyce Caine whom he loved and cared for deeply. His daughters Lucinna Marie Caine and LaDonna Louise Caine of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His sister Berthena Green of Pawnee, Oklahoma, his grandchildren Jerrecia Cooks, Claudesha Wortham, Everett H Davis III, Yahzmen Abraham, Tailesha Wortham, Tedezia Ford. His great-grandchildren Taylor, Leeah, Ty’Rae, Demontia and Claude of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The reunion with Joyce Caine, Grover gained an extended family that loved and cared for him deeply. He leaves to cherish his memories, his step children Bridgette Haywood, Vincent Hare (Debra), Rochelle Hare, Regina Berry (Theo), Shawn McBee (Ronald), Lisa McKnight, Sidney McKnight, and the son he never had Martis Hopkins. Grover came into Martis’s life when he was very young and picked up the duties of being Martis’s POPS! He leaves his memory to a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

The Family would also like to Thank everyone who called, sent cards, brought food, prayed or thought of us during this time of Grover's Home Going.

Graveside Services are Wednesday 10:00 A.M. August 26, 2020 in the Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma with Minister Terry Hughes officiating Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
