Roy Lee Fuser

Roy Lee Fuser
July 29, 1946 ~ April 21, 2026

Roy Lee Fuser, 79-year-old Coweta resident (formerly of Afton), passed away late Tuesday, evening April 21, 2026, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 29, 1946, in Vinita to John Martin Fuser, Jr. and Eva Lucille (Stryker) Fuser. Roy was a 1964 graduate of Afton High School, then attended OSU for a time, while he earned his pilot’s license. Roy went into and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1966-1968, earning the rank of Corporal. On May 22, 1971, Roy married the love of his life, Sally Ann Wilcox in Afton at the Christian Church. Roy worked as a farmer-stockman most all his life, before retiring and moving near his children in Coweta in 2017. Roy in his free time liked to hunt deer and go fishing, doing things outside, being with his dogs, woodworking in his shop, and most inportantly spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Fuser. The family includes his wife Sally of the home; children, Jared Lee Fuser and wife Mindi, Jennifer Ann Edmonson, and husband Jeremy all of Coweta; brothers, James Fuser and wife Candy of Afton, John Fuser, and wife Rosie of Owasso; grandchildren, Skylar Dixon and husband Caleb, Madison Fuser, Carter Fuser, and Stryker Edmonson.

The graveside service and military rites will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton, Greg Highsmith will be officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally family owned and operated funeral home.”
