"Mrs. Lizzie Orr, age 76 years, widow of the late Wiley Orr, former residents of Bentonville, died at her home in Fairland, Okla. Nov. 19, 1932 following a stroke of paralysis. She never spoke after being stricken and passed away peacefully. Funeral services and burial were held in Fairland Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Orr lived here for many years. Mr. Orr was a deputy sheriff under Greer McAndrew and later under F. P. Galbreaith. At the close of his term of office he purchased a half interest in the furniture and undertaking business owned by Whitley Kerr. After his death his interest was sold to A. D. Callison of Rogers, Mr. Kerr's present partner. He died about 20 years ago and was buried here. Following his death Mrs. Orr moved to Fairland which has since been her home. She lived by herself and for the past year has been in ill health. Her old friends here received word of her death Monday. Besides a son, R. L. Huggins of Fairland, she is survived by a stepson and a step daughter."

"Mrs. Wiley Orr, aged 76, a former well known Bentonville woman, died at her home at Fairland, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 19th, 1932, the funeral and burial also occurring at that place. Mrs. Orr is survived by one son, Bob Huggins, of Grove, Okla., by one step-son, Marvin Orr, of Oklahoma City and two step-daughters, Mrs. Dora Cobb of Sulphur Springs and Mrs. Edna Deshler of Kansas City. Mr. Orr and two of her step-sons and one step-daughter are buried here at Bentonville. Mr. and Mrs. Orr and family lived here for many years and were widely known throughout this section. Mr. Orr served as deputy sheriff of Benton County and also was in the grocery business with W. W. Thomason, now of Nowata, Okla., and for a number of years was a partner of Whitley Kerr in the furniture and undertaking business. In speaking of Mrs. Orr and her many good qualities her old neighbors here in Bentonville never fail to remark on the affection that existed between her and her step-children, to whom they say she was as nearly a real mother as it is possible for one to be."
