Funeral services for Isaac Howard Chailer, 84, of Sand Springs, OK, were held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Terry Martin, Cole Chism, Gary Martin, Rusty Wheeler, Steven Jennings, Kenny Kennedy, Caleb Worthington, and Randy Lasater. Honorary Casket bearers were Hubert Harger, Lawrence Edwards, Marvin Lasater, Corby Smock, Lewis Downing, Don Carmichael, Connie Mabes, Carol Henry, Russell Sellers, Brian Ward, and Jimmy Hendrix.

Isaac was born March 4, 1935 in Coal Hill, AR to John Williams Chailer and Ira Mae (Hard) Newman. He passed away September 6, 2019 in Sand Springs, OK.

Isaac moved to Sand Springs, OK and graduated from Charles Page High School in 1953 where he was a member of the FFA. In 1954, Isaac met, and married Virginia Lasater and they were married for 64 years. After serving in the Army, Isaac returned to Tulsaand had several careers, which included being a certified meat inspector, supervisor and buyer for Warehouse Market. He was also a truck driver and retired from Yellow Freight after 26 years. He drove over 2 million miles without a single accident and was a member of the Teamsters Union. His CB radio handles included Streakin Deacon and Nervous Wreck. Isaac was also passionate about growing and selling vegetables, gardening, fishing, fast cars and fast boats. He had owned some of the rarest vehicles, including a 1963 split window Corvette and a 1965 Sebring Corvette. In 1962, Isaac raced go-karts and mini-sprints. Isaac loved spending time with all of his family, and especially loved seeing his grandbabies. He loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen.

He was survived by his wife, Virginia Chailer; children, Kathy (Chailer) Walker and partner, Earl Maybee of Sperry, Monty Chailer and partner, Lorraine Gilkson or Irving, TX; grandchildren, Amee Jennings and husband, Steven of Keller, TX, Bryson Chailer of Emory, TX, Brittnee Chailer of Tulsa, Channing Chism and husband Cayle of Collinsville, and Claire Chailer of Sunset, LA; great-grandchildren, Caleb Worthington and wife, Kaylin of Mounds, Ashtyn Jennings of Keller, TX, and Avery Jennings of Keller, TX; great-great-grandchildren, Kysley Worthington of Mounds and Laney Worthington of Mounds; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Newman and John Chailer; daughter, Alisa Knight and husband Garry; great-granddaughter, Addyson Jennings; and sister, Inez Hunter.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
