Oresa Ann Hogue, a vibrant spirit who brought joy to those around her, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Hillcrest Hospital, at the age of 80. Surrounded by her loving family, she transitioned after a life well-lived. Oresa was born on January 21, 1945, in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
Oresa's greatest passion was her family. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her love into each generation and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great-great-grandchild. Beyond her family, she found immense enjoyment in the excitement of the casino, the mental challenge of word searches, and the peaceful solitude of fishing.
In her younger years, Oresa worked at the Pawhuska sewing factory, and later, she dedicated herself to helping others as a compassionate home health provider. Raised in Fairfax, Oklahoma, she built a life in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, for over six decades before moving to Bartlesville to live with her granddaughter Tina and her family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her children: Marla Parker and husband Rick, James Hogue and wife Debbie, and Janet Sanders. Oresa's spirit lives on in her adoring grandchildren: Tina Alltop, Kayla Gann, Stanley Hull, Mathew Lawson, Misty Lawson, Olivia Parker, Cierra Hogue, William Sanders, and Jazlyn Sanders, along with her numerous great-grandchildren.
Oresa was reunited in passing with her parents, Levi and Zella Downing; her sisters, Delores Martin, Joyce, and Margie Downing; her brothers, Levi, Eddie, and Bobbie Downing; her beloved husband, Donald Hogue; her daughter, Tracey Hogue; and her great-grandson, Stanley K. Hull.
