Jack Dwight Horton

Jack Dwight Horton, 60, passed from this life on December, 7, 2022, a Cleveland Area Hospital. Jack was born February 4, 1962, in Osage County at the Pawhuska Hospital to Nemi and Ruby (Parker) Horton. He was raised and received his education In Hominy. Jack was a very hard worker in his younger days, as he found employment in the oil industry, as a rig floor hand for Brown Brothers Drilling, Tyler Well Service, and also Cruisen Drilling. he also worked as a maintenance and equipment man for Webco Industries, for several years. In the late 1980's he also owned and operated Jack's Roustabout Service. Jack was also employed by Horton Tool Company where he worked as a shop hand for his older brother. Jack was a volunteer firemen for the Hominy Fire Department for several years, working the terrible fireworks plant explosion in Hallet, Oklahoma one call he said he would never forget! Jack has six children, Todd May, Mia Horton, Daniel Horton Melissa Jech, Jessica Wills and Dessie Worstell

Jack never met a stranger, so no matter where he traveled in life, he was always quick to start up a conversation and enjoyed chatting with a new found friend. he also enjoyed the outdoors, taking long walks, and fishing. He especially enjoyed his sister Pam's Sunday dinners and would often call and ask if she was offering meals on wheels for that day!

Jack is survived by his six children, and nine grandchildren, sisters, Wilma and husband Kenny Stevens, Pam and husband Joe Hambright, also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and host of close friends. Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, Nemi and Ruby Horton, brothers, Danny, Dale and Stormy Horton, and sisters, Mary Bell Horton and Shirley Graham.

Arrangements were made by Powell Funeral Services in Hominy, Oklahoma. Burial will be at the Praire-View Cemetery in Prue, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Powell Funeral Service, to help towards the funeral expenses.
