Bobby Joe "Old Pal" Thompson was born on April 16, 1927, in Hominy, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2016, in Shawnee Oklahoma, at the age of 88.

Bobby the son of William "Henry" and Flossie Birdie Pattison Thompson, was a long-time Seminole resident. He married Gwendolyn "Sue" Welch on February 14, 1952. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was an Office Manager with Mid-Continent Supply Company of Oklahoma. He was of the Methodist faith and loved fishing.

His parents, wife, brother, daughter Nila Jean, and two great-grandsons Jacob Wayne and Luke Ryan Ellis, preceded Bobby in death.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Jo and Don Ellis of Seminole; grandsons,Garrett Ellis and his wife Rachel of Paden, Chris Ellis and his wife Courtney of Seminole; great-grandchildren, Daxton, Cru, and Tarashay Ellis of Seminole, Gabriella and Lillian Ellis of Paden; brother, Ralph Thompson of Ft. Gibson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at the Pawhuska City Cemetery in Pawhuska with Kris Steele officiating.
