YEARGAIN PARK, LONGTIME STATE DAIRYMAN, DIES
SKIATOOK - Yeargain "Y.T." Park, one of Oklahoma's most successful dairymen, died Friday. He was 84. Services for Park will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Skiatook United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Osage Garden Cemetery in Skiatook. Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Park spent more than 30 years in the dairy business, including 25 years at his farm near Skiatook. In 1965 he was inducted into Oklahoma State University's Dairy Hall of Fame for his contributions to the state's dairy industry. In 1959 he was named Master Dairyman of Osage County in a Tulsa Chamber of Commerce contest. Park was active in the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce.
Park attended the University of Oklahoma School of Business Administration. He was a member of the Osage County Soil Conservation District, the Oklahoma Dairyman's Association and the Skiatook Historical Society. He became involved in the oil business in the 1960s. He directed the Federal Land Bank. Park is survived by his wife, Kenneth A. Park of Skiatook; two sons, Philip Arther Park of Bismarck, N.D., and Kenneth Yeargain Park of Skiatook; a sister, Verona Patrick of Skiatook; two brothers, Earl W. Park of Skiatook and Robert "Bob" Park of Sperry; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
