Thelma Pehar passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook with Chaplain Michael Gregory officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Thelma Maxine Pehar was the youngest of ten children born to William Penn and Mary Elizabeth (Rodden) Parris on October 15, 1922 in Hominy, OK. Thelma was a very independent person who loved to travel and was an avid golfer. At the age of 18 she moved to California and was a resident for over 60 years retiring as an employee of the City of Los Angeles. After retirement Thelma returned to Oklahoma residing in Bartlesville until her death.

Thelma is survived by her niece Gretta and husband Doug Parks of Bartlesvile and nephews Jim Parris, Larry Parris and wife Cheryl of California along with other nieces, nephews and many friends.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Pehar and siblings: Ezekiel, Roscoe, Sylvester, Joseph, Charlie, Ruby, Francis, Leonard and Mildred.
