Nina Marie Gill

Nina Marie Gill passed from this life on January 10, 2023, at the age of 78 in Terlton, Oklahoma.

Nina was born on December 25, 1944, in Claremore, Oklahoma the daughter of Louie and Mamie Jean (Smith) Henderson. Nina grew up and attended school in Seneca Indian School in Sequoya, Wyandotte Schools, and later graduating from Skiatook High School graduating with the Class of 1963. Nina then attended cosmetology school in Tulsa. She later began working as a nurse at St. John Medical Center. On December 24, 1970, Nina was united in marriage to William L. Gill in Mannford, Oklahoma. Nina worked as a beautician as well as drove the VoTech bus for many years in Cleveland. Nina then accepted the office manager position with Pawnee County Water District #2 in Terlton in the late 1980's. During that time, she also was the Mayor, Council Woman in Terlton and also served as the secretary and treasurer for the water district. Following retirement in 2009, Nina remained active in her community serving on the water board until 2015.

Nina enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing and tending to animals. She also loved the times spent following her grandkids playing sports and school activities. Taking the kids treasure hunting were also memorable times. Nina loved and adored her cat Kitty that was very protective of her and her pride and joy. She had a heart of gold no matter where you came from or who you were she loved you and would take care of you. Nina spent many hours cooking for her family always preparing their favorite dishes.

Survivors are husband William, two daughters Caylyn, Tina; one sister-in-law Kay Henderson, eight grandchildren Ashley, Teagan, Payge, William, Tess, A.J., Stormie, Justin; eight great grandchildren Gunner, Nick, Axton, Audrie, Chellsea, Taygan, Tyeler, Brook, one great-great granddaughter Jazlynn and a host of other relatives and friends. Nina was preceded in death by her parents Louie and Mamie Henderson, daughter Tanya Gill, siblings Frankie Henderson, Mary Powell, Carl Haskell, grandson Brandon Hillis and one great-great grandchild Declan Wagner.

Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. with officiating services. Burial will be held in the Osage Cemetery at Osage, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Nina at www.chapman-black.com.
